Rwcola brings together the soul of Italian pizza and the heart of Welsh flavour. The name itself is inspired by the Italian word for rocket, Rucola, reimagined with a Welsh touch, reflecting our passion for blending authentic Italian ingredients with local produce and creativity.

Background


Born from a love of real Italian food and sustainable values, Rwcola crafts every pizza from scratch using just five natural ingredients: Italian flour, yeast, water, salt, and extra virgin olive oil. We source the finest toppings from Italy and Wales to ensure every bite is fresh, flavourful, and responsibly made. Sustainability is at the core of what we do: all our packaging is recyclable or compostable.

Who We Are


Founded by Matteo Monacelli, the only pizza instructor in Wales certified by AccademiaPizzaioli, Rwcola is built on years of international culinary experience across Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Norway, and the UK. Matteo also holds a degree in Food Science and Nutrition, combining artisan skill with scientific precision to create pizzas that are both delicious and thoughtfully balanced.

What We Do


At Rwcola, we serve 9” and 12” artisan pizzas, Mac ’n’ Cheese Croquettes, house-seasoned fries, Truffle & Parmesan Fries, Pizza-Loaded Fries, Garlic Focaccia, and our signature dessert — Doughlci, deep-fried dough dusted with sugar and drizzled in chocolate or pistachio.
