We are Oli and Katy and we live in Llantwit Major and are the owners of Puckin Poutine, a popular trader in the street food scene of South Wales. We will be opening Tokyo Nights at the Goodsheds

Originally we were planning to open as Puckin Poutine, our other business which we have been running since 2017. It was after a trip to Japan that I wanted to try something new to share my experiences of trip trip. Japan and especially Tokyo is such an exciting, vibrant and different place, it feels like you couldn’t get further away from home than you do in Tokyo. It’s a wild organised chaos that has to be seen to be believed. The food is unbelievably good, whether its from the best sushi bars or vending machines and Japanese cuisine is far broader than what we see in the UK. In the UK we only really see sushi, and ramen however there are many more options including my favourite Yakitori and Izakaya (bar food). This is the sort of food that we will be bringing to the Goodsheds and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.

To start off with our main focus will be Yakitori which is skewers of perfectly grilled chicken. We will be sourcing only free range British chicken. We will also be offering Japanese bar food such as Hirata buns which are a steamed bun (a Japanese version of a Bao bun), katsu curry, rice bowls and fried chicken.
